What you'll do...

The Lead Material Control Supervisor is expected to work closely with Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure the following:
  • Inbound, outbound, and claims processing
  • Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships
  • Error and Denial Rate,
  • Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery,
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH
  • Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction,
  • Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts,
  • Direct Supervision/training of GSR 6 supervisors.
  • Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness,
  • Grievance Resolution
  • Supervision mentoring and Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required.
  • Cover crews in supervisor's absence.
  • Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings.
  • Prepare/maintain work related records as needed.
  • Schedule manpower (including overtime and vacation).
  • Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best-in-class performance.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

You'll have...
  • Minimum 3 years operational experience within a High Velocity Center preferred.
  • Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred, willing to work rotating work hours when required.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.
  • Have Continuous Improvement mind set.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees
  • Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours. Current operational hours are from 6:00am until 11:30pm. Some weekends might be required.
  • Must have the ability to work overtime/adjust schedule as required, as the business dictates.
