We are seeking a skilled Asset Protection Supervisor to enhance our Security Operations Team. The AMEX Security Supervisor will oversee daily security functions across multiple locations. This role will involve supporting relevant stakeholders during incidents and being an integral part of a proactive corporate security team dedicated to providing top-tier support. The Security Supervisor will report to the Global Security Manager and provide insights on emerging security challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the AMEX Security team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compliance with payroll standards.
  • Offer constructive feedback and coaching throughout the year to assist management in achieving security performance goals.
  • Oversee campus security operations by monitoring alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and any events that may affect AMEX's operations and assets.
  • Execute tasks assigned by the Global Security Manager and support the daily security functions of the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential threats, minimizing impact on personnel and operations.
  • Act as the primary contact for first responders during emergencies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of communications and incidents, including tracking and case management.
  • Handle sensitive incidents with discretion, ensuring confidentiality for the company and individuals involved.
  • Collaborate with the Global Security Manager on security initiatives and investigations.
  • Work cross-functionally with various levels of management to resolve security and safety-related issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory bodies, industry security professionals, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Continuously enhance our business continuity plans to ensure organized recovery during and after crises.
  • Facilitate the execution of crisis management and emergency response programs, ensuring preparedness among security personnel and employees.
  • Ensure that employees receive proper training to respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Verify that security personnel adhere to their documented responsibilities.
  • Ensure comprehensive guard coverage without gaps.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to address security-related concerns.
  • Work effectively with the Global Security Team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a security role with high standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and make informed decisions in complex situations, preferably in security, law enforcement, or military contexts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with technology and a quick learner of access management systems and surveillance technologies.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Capability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex operational tasks with internal and external teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules.
  • Experience in scheduling and workforce management is advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of security and risk management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills to navigate complex organizational structures and gain support for initiatives.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse environments with varying conditions.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area as necessary.
