At Ford Motor Company, we're seeking a highly skilled Material Control Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing UAW hourly employees, ensuring the efficient flow of inbound and outbound material, and driving continuous improvement through the Partners In Customer Satisfaction (PICS) process and the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct UAW hourly employees to meet objectives in safety, quality, and lines per man hour.
- Effectively assign initiatives to continuously improve performance and maintain a productive working relationship with the Hourly Team, Salaried Team, and Union Representatives.
- Assign daily work to employees to meet objectives and assure the flow of inbound and outbound material is managed according to the PICS process.
- Complete Daily Report of Time for employees and provide inbound and outbound supervisory coverage at New York HVC when needed.
- Manage to deadlines, timelines, with a high degree of planned and unplanned variables and complexities.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of Supervisor experience in a distribution center within a Union environment.
- 1+ years of experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Logistics, or Operations.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management systems (MOMS, MMP, SAP, EXE) and Container Management System (CMMS) and processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to command respect and accountability of assigned employees.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and knowledge of Payroll System.
