An international CNC machine manufacture in the Schaumburg, IL area is currently searching for an Account Representative to support their sales engineer department. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ year of Inside Sales, Sales Support, or Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment but entry level candidates are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

Account Representative Responsibilities Include:

Interact with customers and clients in regard to order status, logistics tracking, questions and issues, etc.
Assist with product pricing and provide quotations to customers
Recommend additional products / services to established customers
Assist with the creation and updating of marketing materials such as presentations, brochures, etc.
Issue purchase orders and maintain documentation of sales activities and inventory levels
Interface with other departments and offices to ensure timely delivery of products
Responsible for sales calls to expand business opportunities with existing/new clients and make appointments for Sale Engineer to visit
Creation of sales reports for upper management
Other duties as assigned

Account Representative Requirements Include:

Minimum Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
Minimum 1+ years' experience in Inside Sales or Customer Support, preferably in an automotive and / or manufacturing environment preferred
Good computer skills and proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Ability to do cold callings
Mechanical engineering background is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and part of a group
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
