WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the MedTech Sector Senior Manager within BCG’s Health Care Practice Area (HCPA), you will work closely with Sector and PA leadership to support and manage the [MedTech Sector business with a strong focus on developing and enabling the sector strategy, in partnership with the Sector Leader and MedTech Sector Leadership Team. ]()You will be sought as a thought partner to leadership in setting the strategic agenda and defining implementation activities for the business, including establishing the sector people strategy and investment agenda while also engaging and driving topic / sector content development initiatives. Other tasks include driving business insights through business and market analysis, enabling sector go-to-market, and lead organization, internal communication and affiliation activities.

In addition, you will manage the commercial plan and monitor the state of the business (e.g. competitive context, lead flow, proposal pipeline and sold cases), reaching out to relevant Client Officers/Managing Directors as needed. You will work with the Marketing team to plan publications, newsletters, internal and external events for the topic / sector; develop a SATT strategy for the topic / sector and plan activities; own the topic / sector content on BCG.com and be the liaison to industry platforms and associations that the topic / sector partners with. This role will work closely with other Sector Managers, Regional Managers and Knowledge Experts as well as the People Strategy Manager within the Health Care business to deliver special projects that could arise throughout the year. As the business continues to scale, this role could also include responsibility for managing a small team.

BCG’s Health Care Practice Area (HCPA) helps companies grasp the strategic implications of changes in the market environment and leverage them to build competitive advantage. The practice serves clients across the health care (HC) industry including the biopharmaceutical, medical technology, payer, provider, health care services, and global health sectors.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

* 8-10 years of relevant experience
* Master’s degree preferred
* Role related certifications preferred
* Ability to manage and drive area of accountabilities, contributing to higher level agenda setting
* Ability to lead more complex, broader sub functional teams or projects fully independently and provide direction to others
* Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen
* Strong interpersonal skills, credibility
* Ability to influence senior members of the topic / sector and beyond
* Ability to respect sensitive client, BCG, and people related information as personal and confidential
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
