Builder Finance Inc. (BFI) is the growing lender to homebuilders and housing investors. Launched in 2014, BFI now has multiple, coast-to-coast lending programs.
The majority of clients are repeat clients. A successful Loan Officer excels at sales, understands real estate underwriting, and maintains best-in-class customer service. This produces long-term, repeat client relationships. New sales leads originate through inbound channels or from tradeshows, there is not expected to be any “cold calling”.
The position will come with support staff to facilitate fulfilment and the work environment is supportive. The Loan Officer will take ownership of his/her clients and accept responsibility for mistakes and problems. BFI is a balance sheet lender and retains its own originations from closing to payoff. In addition to sales/originations talent, credit skills and good judgement are essential traits. The success of BFI is based largely on making loans that repay.
In addition to driving originations while maintaining credit quality, the position will protect the BFI brand by providing excellent customer service. That means quickly addressing stated and unstated needs of clients and prospective clients. Stellar client-experiences are a must.
Compensation is market competitive
Qualifications:
Experience: Sales experience in any field. Demonstrated interest in real estate an plus.
Education: Alongside schooling, include GPA(s) on resume submission. Include any standardized test score that you feel is relevant.
Attributes and Skills:
A real estate person
A tenacious and ambitious team-player
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Rigorous approach to credit including attention to, and respect of, details, rules, and governing processes
Familiar with Excel, Word and Outlook
