POSITION OVERVIEW:
Pyxera Global is actively in search of a new Vice President of Programs who will be responsible for strategic direction and program strategy, developing new business partnerships and account growth, and oversight to Pyxera Global’s Programs team.
Pyxera Global and the Programs department operate in a fast-paced and agile environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with change management and rapid decision making, while illustrating their significant experience in managing relationships internally and externally. It is imperative that the successful candidate have the ability and experience to work with corporate social responsibility initiatives and/or mutually beneficial partnerships between the private and social sectors.

PRIMARY FOCUS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Programmatic Strategy: Develop new and innovative strategies that can grow Pyxera Global’s program portfolio and be a differentiator in the market; contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s larger strategic plans.
People Leadership: Provide strong mentorship to all staff while investing in the leadership development of direct reports and rising leaders across the organization.
Thought Leadership & Business Development: Grow Pyxera Global’s strategic relationships, corporate partnerships, and overall brand visibility by representing the organization publicly and being one of the leading voices in developing impactful social strategies for all Programs.
Organizational Leadership: Contribute to Pyxera Global's strategic and financial goals by strengthening organizational capabilities and fostering a positive workplace culture. Maintain regular communication with leadership and spearhead special projects as needed.
GENERAL BACKGROUND, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management with at least 5 years’ experience with business development or sales.
- Proven experience inspiring and motivating employees to work together to achieve shared goals not only within a department, but across an organization.
- Ability to design and implement a Programs department business strategy that aligns with the global business strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients, donors.
- Experience defining a vision and strategic plan, and ensuring its implementation.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively across diverse cultural contexts, promoting inclusive practices and equitable outcomes.
- Proven ability to innovate and adapt programmatic approaches to respond to evolving community needs and global trends.
- Proven experience making informed decisions. Able to consider problems and challenges from different perspectives, analyze potential outcomes, take calculated risks, and make decisions that help propel the team forward.
- Proven experience with change management, innovation, agility and entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with integrating technology solutions and digital tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scale of impact.
- Ideally a professional background in both non-profit and professional services.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. employment authorization required
- A valid passport and ability to travel internationally and/or domestically up to 30% of the time.
**The location for this position is in Washington, DC.**
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
PYXERA Global offers a very competitive salary and benefits package to all of our employees including:
- The salary for this position will be $175k - $210k annually, based on experience and background
- Compressed work schedule (Monday-Thursday… Fridays off) along with a hybrid office schedule for employees based in DC
