This role is ideal for a builder: someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments, knows the convenience ecosystem inside and out, and has launched snack or jerky products into these channels with measurable success. The company is in the middle of a major growth push and intends to double revenue within the next 12 to 18 months. This role partners directly with the CEO and offers meaningful equity, influence, and the opportunity to shape the commercial future of the brand. What You Will Lead: Build the end-to-end sales strategy for Convenience and Specialty channels, owning both vision and execution. Open new doors across national and regional convenience chains, travel retail outlets, specialty environments, and institutional accounts. Serve as the primary driver of new business development, identifying whitespace, building pipelines, and securing placement. Develop pricing frameworks, promotional plans, distributor strategies, and ROI-focused trade execution. Manage key buyer relationships, negotiate programs, and secure sustainable long-term partnerships. Align channel strategy with broader company goals, reporting directly to executive leadership. Represent the brand with a competitive, entrepreneurial presence in the market. Required Background: 10 plus years in CPG sales, business development, or account management. Direct, proven success selling snack products into convenience store chains and specialty retailers. Experience launching an emerging brand or product line from early-stage growth, not only managing established portfolios. Strong network and credibility with buyers at major convenience chains (e.g., top national and regional banners). Demonstrated capability to build distribution, expand SKU count, and win incremental space. Highly driven hunter mentality with a track record of delivering rapid commercial results. Background must be relevant to the snack category (not alcohol or unrelated sectors). Preferred Experience: Leadership roles with founder-led or high-growth CPG companies. Experience managing distributors, brokers, or field teams to drive execution. Ability to translate data and category insights into compelling selling stories.
