This includes the acquisition of goods, services, insurance, information technology and construction contracts, alongside fostering supplier diversity and managing surplus property disposal. The role serves as a key member of the Vice President's leadership team and acts as a representative of the division to various stakeholders, including the university community, state government, business entities, and professional organizations. Additionally, the Assistant VP plays a crucial role in coordinating procurement activities during emergencies and leads cooperative efforts to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier diversity on a national and statewide level. Required Qualifications * Advanced degree or bachelor's degree and equivalent experience. * Demonstrated leadership in procurement or related operations. * Significant experience in procurement and contracting. * Ability to lead diverse teams and ensure compliance with regulations. * Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience in a top-tier research institution. * In depth knowledge of state and federal procurement regulations. * Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. * Professional certification related to procurement. * Experience with construction contracting and software procurement processes Appointment Type Regular Salary Information Salary Range of $180,000+ Commensurate with Experience.
