Associate Vice President for IT Governance, Planning, and Strategy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Governance and Strategy Leader to join our team as Associate Vice President for IT Governance, Planning, and Strategy. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of IT at the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective IT governance frameworks and strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the development of the IT strategic plan, ensuring it is aligned with the university's overall strategic plan.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to identify and prioritize IT projects and initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets for IT projects and initiatives.
- Lead the development of IT service management processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to IT staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT governance, strategy, and leadership.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective IT governance frameworks and strategies.
- Experience leading IT projects and initiatives, including budget development and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and standards.
- Experience with IT project management methodologies.
