Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Job Specialty: Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 52 Weeks Shift: Day, 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM Guaranteed Hours: [Not Provided] Experience: [Not Provided] License: Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse License Certifications: [Not Provided] Must-Have: Ability to work days off on Sunday and MondayJob Description:- Administers nursing care within scope of practice under the direction of registered healthcare professionals.- Performs tasks such as administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and collecting specimens.- Performs dialysis treatments, operates hemodialysis equipment, and monitors patients during procedures.- Assists healthcare professionals with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.- Provides emergency support, including first-aid and CPR.- Administers medications, including controlled drugs, and instructs patients on medication usage.- Maintains medication records, prepares and counts medication, and manages medical supplies.- Observes and documents patient conditions and prepares related reports and records.- Provides general nursing and direct care assistance including personal care, hygiene support, and patient repositioning.- Supports recreational activities and escorts patients to medical appointments.- Provides training and work direction to lower-level staff in providing general unskilled nursing care.- Participates in meetings, conferences, and training programs as assigned.- Orders medication and medical supplies, and maintains cleanliness of nursing and medication areas.- Performs clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing. Key Skills: - Knowledge of skilled practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, first-aid, and CPR.- Proficient in using medical equipment such as respirators, dialysis machines, and sterilizers.- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and understand practical nursing instructions.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop rapport with patients.- Physical capability to administer injections, perform medical treatments, and move or restrain patients.
