Must-Have: Knowledge of practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, and HIPAA regulations

Job Description:
- Administer nursing care as per Ohio Revised Code under the supervision of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor.
- Perform various nursing duties including, but not limited to, administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, and inserting catheters.
- Re-insert gastrostomy tubes, perform suctioning, irrigate wounds, give enemas and douches, and collect specimens.
- Conduct dialysis treatments and operate hemodialysis equipment.
- Assist physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
- Respond to emergencies by providing first aid, performing CPR, and restraining patients if necessary.
- Administer medications, including controlled drugs and tranquilizers, as well as non-controlled medications in various forms.
- Maintain medication accountability records and observe, document, and report patient conditions and treatment responses.
- Provide direct care and assistance with personal grooming, hygiene, and daily living activities.
- Take patient vital signs, reposition patients, respond to alarms, and conduct recreational activities.
- Support lower-level direct care staff by providing work direction, orientation, and training.
- Order medications and medical supplies; maintain cleanliness and organization of the nurses' station and medication areas.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and training programs as required.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing documents.
