Must-Have: Knowledge of skilled licensed practical nursing procedures, first-aid, and client/patient care.

Job Description:

- Administer nursing care within the scope of practice as defined by Ohio Revised Code.
- Work under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor.
- Provide medication to patients and ensure medication accountability by preparing and maintaining records.
- Observe, document, and report patient conditions, and prepare necessary reports and records.
- Deliver general nursing and direct care including taking vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and repositioning patients.
- Assist with medical and recreational activities for patients, including making medical appointments and escorting them.
- Provide guidance and training to lower-level direct care staff in delivering general nursing care.
- Participate in various meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing, and ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Operate medical equipment proficiently and utilize skills in hypodermics and personal computer operation.
- Develop a good rapport with patients while recognizing and responding to unusual or emergency situations effectively.

Major Worker Characteristics: Understanding of practical nursing, ability to manage abstract and concrete variables, and strength to move or reposition patients.
