Responsibilities

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.

* Welcome children to the center. Take the child's temperature and sign in.
* Assist in marking all children's belongings as needed.
* Assist with activities that stimulate children and provide opportunities for fine motor skills as well as cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
* Reading to children, and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
* Participating in recreational activities such as games, puzzles, etc.
* Be responsible for all aspects of feeding, caring, and cleaning for infants and toddlers
* Monitor sleep room.
* Set up and monitor breakfast, snack, and lunchtime.
* Take children outside for walks and playtime.
* Assist in prep work (cleaning, planning projects) for the next day.
* Cleaning of toys and surfaces at the end of the day.

Qualifications

* Previous childcare experience is not required, however, preferred.
* Work well with children and display patience.
* Complete CPR, First Aid Training. Training provided if necessary.
* Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and be able to lift up to 50lbs., bend, twist, kneel.
* Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and 10+ hour days.
* Single Bed, no pets. If interested, inquire during job interview
