To help make the campus an inviting, clean, well-organized facility where all can gather without distraction to fulfill the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. Responsibilities include helping with daily furniture set-up, special event set-up, and cleaning in designated areas. Our mission is to remove obstacles so people can worship. This position is Monday-Friday daytime hours with weekend rotation every 8-10 weeks. Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.
Essential Functions
* Cleaning of designated areas of the campus including glass, surfaces, and floors, removing trash, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, and other janitorial duties.
* Setting up and tearing down rooms for groups and event that varying weekly.
* Confident to work independently or closely with the team.
* Assist other facility teams in a cross functional manner.
* Clean, sanitize and safely dispose of biological waste.
Essential Competencies
* Love to clean and create order.
* Hard worker and self-starter
* Team player.
* An eye for detail
* Flexible and willing to jump in to support other ministry teams, members, or guests.
* Warm and Friendly
Required Education, Experience, and Membership
* High School degree (or equivalent).
* Basic computer skills.
* Residential or commercial janitorial experience a plus, but will train the right person
* Attention to detail
* Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
* Willing to be trained on large janitorial equipment
* PPE and Blood Born Pathogen training provided upon employment
* Agreement with SECC Statement of Faith, member or willing to become one, and submission to the leadership established by the church.
