This position will educate patients upfront of their estimated financial responsibilities, perform compassionate and professional efforts to secure payments prior to service where appropriate, and provide information related to financial assistance programs when applicable. This role will maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA as well as Waterbury Hospital#s Compliance and Privacy standards as well as all other corporate policies and procedures. # RESPONSIBILITIES: Books appointments as necessary utilizing protocol for booking each procedure including following system prompts and asking appropriate questions while obtaining necessary demographic, insurance and appointment information.# Ensure minimum duplicate appointments by checking for existing appointment prior to generating new appointment. When appropriate, provide patient with estimated financial responsibility.
