Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Central Scheduling team at Saint Francis Hospital. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, providing guidance and direction to the team, and ensuring that department goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor productivity and performance of Access Center Representatives for appointments, prior authorizations, and outreach.
  • Schedule and register patients prior to appointments.
  • Make inbound and outbound calls to schedule patient appointments.
  • Responsible for daily assignments and workflow.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new hires.
  • Interview patients to obtain demographic and financial information, inputting data into the SMS system.
  • Oversee completion of all Inpatient/Observation admissions for all ED patients, as well as urgent and booked patients.
  • Coordinate daily team activities to ensure appropriate utilization of staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Medical Office, hospital, or physicians billing experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years admitting/registration experience required.
