Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Central Scheduling team at Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, providing guidance and direction to the team, and ensuring that department goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients to obtain demographic and financial information, and input data into the SMS system.
  • Oversee completion of all Inpatient/Observation admissions for all ED patients, as well as urgent and booked patients.
  • Notify patients of hospital Patient Rights, HCP's, and visiting information, including support persons.
  • Report equipment failure and assist in Quality Assurance monitoring.
  • Assist in staff orientation and identify educational needs, providing suggestions and input for evaluations.
  • Provide updates to staff on changes in department policies and procedures.
  • Monitor daily volumes to ensure productivity standards are achieved.
  • Coordinate daily team activities to ensure appropriate utilization of staff.
  • Promote an environment that has a primary focus on patients and all customers, working cooperatively with Nursing, Surgery, Recovery Room, Emergency Room, and Physician's Office.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Medical Office, hospital, or physician's billing experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years admitting/registration experience required.
