We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team at TEKsystems. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in the management of the patient process, serving as a liaison between the clinician, referring specialist, and the patient.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly and provide a friendly, professional atmosphere in the reception area.
- Registration and Scheduling: Register new patients, collect personal and insurance information, and verify existing patient data. Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, and tests with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication and Coordination: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and assist with appointment rescheduling as needed. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure the smooth flow of patient visits.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, maintain accurate electronic medical records, and process insurance claims. Assist patients with billing inquiries and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Confidentiality and Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality is always maintained.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting, preferably as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Call Center/Customer Service representative.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy front desk efficiently. Proficiency in using computer systems and basic software applications.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Competitive Salary: $18 - $20/hr. based on related experience.

- Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 8:00am - 4:30pm & Friday | 8:00am - 12:00pm (36 hours per week).
