This is an onsite, in-person position for applicants living in the Houston, Texas, Greater Houston-Metro Area.

Travel will be required, but will need to report and mobilize out of the corporate office in Houston, Texas.

Summary/Objective:Under the guidance of the HR Manager, the HR Business Partner will undertake a wide range of HR responsibilities. HR Business Partner will serve as the main point of contact for employee’s questions on HR-related topics. The HR Business Partner carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training and development, organizational development, and employment. The HR Business Partner will exhibit excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, and the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. This role is highly collaborative, working with managers across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, laws, and best practices.
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, disciplinary actions, separations and exit interviews.
  • Maintain employee-related databases; prepare and analyze reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company; and prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
  • Assists with the development of Human Resources policies and provides advice, assistance and follow-up on office policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions.
  • Lead and participate in HR-related projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years as an HRBP or similar role.
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of federal and state laws across multiple states.
  • Preferred to have some knowledge of California federal and state laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must possess technical writing skills.
  • Must be capable of working independently and collectively with the HR team.
  • Must possess strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Must be proficient in utilizing and navigating a HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be willing and physically capable of travelling up to 40 % as required.
  • Must be capable of regularly speaking and hearing while utilizing hands to control or manipulate objects.
  • Must be willing and capable of standing, walking, stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders.
  • Must be willing and physically capable of lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be willing and capable of performing computer-based tasks while sitting or standing at a computer-based workstation for prolonged periods of time.
