Our OBGYN practice is seeking to enhance our clerical staff with the addition of a new full-time member to our dynamic team. The right candidate should possess a desire to provide high-quality customer service with efficiency and compassion. A growth mindset is vital in this position as we all have an opportunity to learn more every day.
Essential Functions:
  • Answering phones and assisting patients via our multiphone system.
  • Prioritizing tasks in an ever-evolving environment.
  • Checking patients in and out and updating demographic information.
  • Reviewing provider schedules to identify and correct as appropriate.
  • Obtaining insurance benefits for patients and quoting payments due at the time of service.
  • Collecting Payments.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing referrals.
  • Navigating our electronic medical record.
  • Processing appointment requests via portal, email, and phone.
  • Protecting patient health information.
  • Various other tasks as needed to meet the needs of our practice.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • The desire to learn.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Experience with insurance is a plus.
  • Prior customer service experience is a must.
  • Computer efficiency.
  • Prior use of an electronic medical record (especially Athena) is a plus.
