General Manager Overview:
Responsible for managing and overseeing manufacturing operations and performance, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability. Plan production schedules, identify productivity goals, and monitor processes to ensure efficiency and compliance in the manufacturing process. Strong leadership qualities are essential, as well as the ability to give clear direction, think proactively, and maintain a high degree of accountability. Develop strategies to meet production goals at minimal cost, drive efficiency, and ensure products are produced with minimal downtime. Achieve financial objectives, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Establish strategic direction for manufacturing and sales, aligning goals with companywide strategies to consistently exceed customer expectations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • 70% of operations will be sales focused.
  • Manage overall plant operations, production, sales, quality, and safety.
  • Manage approximately $150 million in sales volume.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead the sales department in setting and exceeding performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials at competitive prices, balancing cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols and initiatives to minimize accidents and incidents.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Oversee all production aspects (scheduling, budgeting, inventory, quality control).
  • Implement lean principles and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and product quality.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between manufacturing and sales teams, translating customer needs into high-quality products and seamless sales initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Spanish Bilingual.
  • Minimum of 10 years combined leadership experience in manufacturing and sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Working knowledge and deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and sales/marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to bridge the gap between manufacturing and sales to create a seamless customer experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple employees, departments, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience in motivating high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM software.
  • Must be willing to travel monthly as well as to 2 trade shows per year.
