The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world. Today, we are reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out." We envision a future where people transact in the real world with a speed, ease and convenience that is unparalleled, even online.

The Role

Metropolis is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships – Licensing to establish technology licensing agreements with a diverse range of domestic and international partners across various parking sectors, including commercial, government, university, and closed campuses. The ideal candidates will offer a blend of intellectual insight, demonstrating strategic thinking and effective execution. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for optimizing partnership value through relationship-building, negotiations, and contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, multifaceted licensing deals with prospective partners within (1) the traditional parking operator space and (2) the segment of owners or entities, private or government, that opt to self-operate.
  • Be a strategic thought partner to team members in different parts of the business, working closely with Ops and Product leadership to formulate strategy and identify how to drive impact through partnerships.
  • Build consensus behind deal strategy and timely support for deal execution across diverse internal audiences, from senior executives to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Determine the right balance between near traction and securing value across a longer time horizon.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates on partnership progress and outcomes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, 8+ years of relevant experience at a fast-paced company.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams for complex programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $175,000.00 to $215,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
