This is an in-person position that requires a physical presence on-site; there is not an option for remote work.

In line with the Bank's Vision and Mission, this individual is responsible for all customer facing products, services and delivery channels including retail operations, online and mobile applications, and commercial, consumer and residential real estate lending. This position includes oversight responsibility for Banking Center (Branch) Operations, Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, Residential Real Estate Lending and Marketing. The CBO provides strategic direction and collaborates on the development of new products, services and delivery channels to meet customer needs.

As an Executive Officer, the CBO is involved in strategic planning and enterprise-wide initiatives, working closely with, and supporting the Chief Executive Officer to achieve the Bank’s objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong managerial background that includes experience in a variety of operational areas specific to banking. A successful person in this role has excellent leadership skills, a high EQ, is personable, organized and has strong interpersonal and time management skills.

  • As part of the Executive team, work with CEO and others to develop and execute strategies for generating more revenue over the long term while adhering to our culture of compliance.
  • Design, oversee and manage strategic initiatives and actively participate in implementation of initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in executing the Bank’s short-term and long-term strategies to achieve revenue targets, deposit goals and lending goals.
  • Ensure cross selling and promotion of all products and services.
  • Review overall retail operations and implement changes to make operational areas more efficient and effective.
  • Recruit, manage and develop staff in areas of responsibility, providing appropriate training, development and coaching as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 15 years in supervisory and management positions specifically related to retail bank operations.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in bank operational roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of credit and lending principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing job-related education.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and managing complex projects.
  • Previous experience using Windows-based computers & Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERENCES
  • BS/BA degree in a field related to the position from an accredited college or university.
  • Graduate banking degree from Pacific Coast Banking School or similar institution.
  • Working knowledge of FIS Horizon core.
