Overview:

What you'll do:

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant purchasing: purchasing, procurement, and inventory systems
  • Monitor adherence to all laws and safety guidelines
  • Analyze and evaluate costs, source goods and materials and report information to ownership and management
  • Source and procure supplies, components, packaging and raw materials (i.e. milk, fruit) required for restaurant and bakery
  • Source and develop new vendors, craft negotiation strategies and terms on price, payment, and lead time, and close deals with optimal terms
  • Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Forecast price and analyze customer buying patterns and market trends to identify and optimize product assortment, pricing as well as changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  • Other projects and tasks may be delegated as needed


Experience you need to be successful:

  • 4-5 years experience in purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the food industry
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-starter with the ability to learn, grow, and adapt quickly
  • Strong knowledge of packaging, raw materials (i.e. milk, fruit) catagory
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relation
  • Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs
  • A way-maker mentality that thrives in quickly evolving situations
