Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- The client is seeking mechanical CAD professionals who can design fixturing & test equipment and generate and review mechanical system documentation.
- The client works primarily on U.S. Government-funded programs, and the ideal candidate should have experience with developing technical data packages according to the principles laid out in MIL-STD-31000, including ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning & tolerancing and Product Lifecycle Management.
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or CREO is a must.
- Experience with the 3DX Product Lifecycle Management tool is strongly preferred.
- Candidates will be asked to support several projects at any given time and must possess strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively and openly with multi-disciplinary program team members and program leadership, including non-technical personnel
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Experience designing in 3D CAD and producing 2D drawings using SolidWorks and/or CREO
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-31000
- Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning & tolerancing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in a relevant field such as drafting, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering
- 2+ years of work experience in a defense contracting environment

This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States, directly for an employer, without sponsorship now or anytime in the future.
