Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid – 3 to 4 days onsite)

Job Description:
Are you a skilled Mechanical CAD Engineer with a passion for designing cutting-edge fixturing and test equipment? Our client is at the forefront of innovation and is looking for a talented Mechanical CAD Engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is adept at handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Design and develop fixturing and test equipment tailored to project requirements.
- Generate and review comprehensive mechanical system documentation.
- Create technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000, including ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Utilize SolidWorks and/or CREO to produce detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
- Support multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, including non-technical personnel and program leadership.
Qualifications:
- An Associate’s degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design and 2D drawing production using SolidWorks and/or CREO.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-31000 standards.
- Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and competing demands.
- Strong team player with effective communication skills.
- Over 2 years of experience working in a defense contracting environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with the 3DX Product Lifecycle Management tool is a plus.
- Due to the nature of the work, the ability to obtain a government security clearance is required.
- Candidates must be a United States Citizen.
