Electronics Packaging Mechanical Design Engineer

Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support our team in delivering first-of-a-kind technical solutions for USG customers. You'll work on production of new microelectronics products from prototypes through low-rate initial production. This role requires an in-scope TOP-SECRET clearance and the ability to work in a classified environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mechanical design concept exploration, trade study analysis, down-selection, prototyping, and testing with minimal guidance.
- Help define the design approach for a particular problem and independently execute assignments.
- Contribute high-quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
- Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with design decisions and communicate them to project leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design or a full cycle of mechanical design experience.
- Proficient with general modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, CAD software, and/or other design & analysis tools relevant to your discipline.
- Familiarity with materials, fabrication, and assembly techniques associated with printed circuit assemblies.
- Familiarity with machine shop tools and processes, prototyping, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with die-level assembly processes and associated automated assembly equipment.
Current in-scope Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
