About the Role
Are you a strategic, results-driven professional with a passion for industrial logistics and project management? Our client is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / Project Manager to drive the growth of our Industrial Projects Vertical. You’ll be at the forefront of expanding our services in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial Machinery, Heavy Lift Freight, and Project Cargo, delivering solutions to meet the unique logistical challenges of these industries.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for both business development and project management, ensuring that what you sell is delivered seamlessly. From prospecting new business to overseeing complex industrial projects, you will directly impact the growth of our client’s market share and revenue. Key Responsibilities
- Drive Growth: Develop and execute strategies to grow the Industrial Projects Vertical, including penetrating new markets and strengthening existing client relationships in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Project Cargo, and Heavy Lift industries.
- Business Development: Prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities by identifying client needs and positioning tailored solutions.
- Project Leadership: Manage the entire project lifecycle of what you sell, from initial client engagement to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations.
- Strategic Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, working closely with prospects and clients to understand their strategic challenges and business priorities.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess opportunities and provide insights on competitive trends and client behavior.
- Sales Excellence: Lead pre-proposal meetings, prepare complex proposals, and negotiate to close high-value deals. Deliver impactful presentations that communicate the value of services.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with local, district, and regional management to ensure alignment on customer services, processes, and strategies.
- Account Management: Continue to nurture relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure satisfaction and maximize long-term partnerships.
What You Bring
- Industry Expertise: A solid track record of success in business development and sales within the logistics and International Freight Forwarding industry, particularly with industrial projects.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and execute complex, large-scale projects, ensuring that logistics are handled efficiently and effectively.
- Strong Leadership: A seasoned professional with excellent managerial and decision-making skills, capable of leading initiatives and driving results.
- Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of how financial performance impacts business decisions and growth opportunities.
- Logistics Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with international transportation and logistics, including both import and export, across various industrial sectors.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with IT systems and processes that are critical to the logistics industry.
