Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, this role is perfect for a driven leader ready to build, inspire, and develop a team while making an immediate impact on the company’s success.
Since 2004, Virginia Green has built the largest locally owned and award-winning lawn care company in Virginia with 6 branches, 300+ associates and growing. We provide the very best lawn care services, including lawn fertilization, weed control applications, tree and shrub care, aeration and seeding and more. Primary Responsibilities
· Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve KPIs, including upselling and cross selling all services.
· Manage and coach the Inside Sales Team, adjusting telemarketing and dial campaigns as needed to meet goals.
· Analyze data and KPIs to make informed decisions, optimize performance, and improve sales processes.
· Ensure CRM accuracy by verifying job entry information and maintaining clear documentation.
· Collaborate across departments, including branches, marketing, and operations, to align sales efforts with company goals.
· Handle escalated customer issues to ensure positive outcomes and maintain high service standards.
· Set and manage sales forecasts, revenue targets, and expense budgets while preparing reports for leadership.
· Lead and participate in the hiring process and forecast hiring needs based on sales growth.
· Drive innovation in sales processes by adopting new tools and strategies to improve efficiency and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications / Attributes
· Experience in high-volume call centers or telemarketing environments is strongly preferred.
· Strong proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
· Knowledge of the Green Industry and experience in upselling services is highly desirable.
· Ability to manage a team of 15+ people, oversee complex sales projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Budget management experience, with the ability to develop and track revenue forecasts and expense budgets.
· Demonstrated ability to handle customer escalations, ensuring a customer-first approach to service and retention.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to present sales metrics and strategies to all levels of the organization.
· Must be able to work 40 hours per week with flexibility for overtime and weekends as necessary.
· Must be 21 years of age or older.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
· 5+ years of sales experience, including 3+ years in a management role preferably in a call center.
Minimum Physical Requirements
· Ability to sit for extended periods.
· Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods.
· Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
