Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Sales Manager to lead our sales team and achieve sales volume and distribution objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and coach a team of sales representatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and coach a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and improve performance.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase sales volume and distribution.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  4. Participate in the recruitment and selection process for new sales representatives.
  5. Other duties as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other computer programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to hold a Solicitor's Permit.
  • Understanding of the wine and spirits industry.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.

Competencies

  • May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.
  • Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine.
