Job DescriptionJob Description

The Payroll and Human Resources Assistant functions as a member of the Human Resources department of Education Success Network, assisting with processing timely and accurate payroll processing, as well as other HR duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
  • Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rate.
  • Maintain payroll files and records in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of payroll reports.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the Human Resources Manager with audits and other payroll and/or HR-related tasks.

Hours:

  • Part-time position approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Flexible working hours, with some availability required during payroll processing periods.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of processing payroll.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and plan work activity accordingly.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Software.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management, a plus.

Salary:

  • $22.81-$31.46/hour based on experience
