Responsibilities:
- Develop client base, attend professional meetings or societies
- Effectively communicate/coordinate/interact with senior level geologists, engineers, administrative staff and clients
- Prepare scope of work and fee estimate proposals and write technical reports
- Mentor/direct staff in completion of field/office work
- Manage project budgets
Qualifications:
- BS and/or MS degree in Geology or related Earth Science
- Professional Geologist (PG), Engineering Geologist (EG) California licensure
- 10-15 years professional geotechnical consulting experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, analytical and judgment skills
- Working knowledge of southern California geology, development concepts and earthwork grading processes and exploratory tools
- Proficient in trenching/drilling techniques, logging and sampling of soil/bedrock and geologic mapping
- Ability to work closely with associate and senior level geologists in support of existing projects
- Availability to travel to local job sites and more distant sites requiring infrequent overnight stays
