This is an Exempt position.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop client base, attend professional meetings or societies
  • Effectively communicate/coordinate/interact with senior level geologists, engineers, administrative staff and clients
  • Prepare scope of work and fee estimate proposals and write technical reports
  • Mentor/direct staff in completion of field/office work
  • Manage project budgets


Qualifications:
  • BS and/or MS degree in Geology or related Earth Science
  • Professional Geologist (PG), Engineering Geologist (EG) California licensure
  • 10-15 years professional geotechnical consulting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, analytical and judgment skills
  • Working knowledge of southern California geology, development concepts and earthwork grading processes and exploratory tools
  • Proficient in trenching/drilling techniques, logging and sampling of soil/bedrock and geologic mapping
  • Ability to work closely with associate and senior level geologists in support of existing projects
  • Availability to travel to local job sites and more distant sites requiring infrequent overnight stays
