Customer Service Specialist

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing a variety of support and services to ensure all customer service is handled timely, accurately, and with high quality. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for data entry, order administration assistance, and entering jobs. This role is also responsible for supporting production teams, document control, estimating, engineering, and sales.
Essential FunctionsCustomer order data entry for loading jobs into ERP system.
Send order verifications to customers while communicating clearly and effectively.
Communicate with internal and external customers on order status.
Work within a team environment while demonstrating good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to support executive staff.
Meeting customer service operational standards by contributing to customer service information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; identifying customer service system improvements.
Ensure proper document procedure is completed in a timely manner. Ensure confidential documents are handled appropriately.
Continually monitor and evaluate job progress and results throughout the day.
Evaluate work schedule and hours required to stay ahead of workflow.
Notify Production Manager in advance if additional hours or staffing are required to maintain workflow.
Enforce company policies and procedures on a consistent basis.
Resolve problems by clarifying customer issue; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
Answer questions and respond to requests in a timely manner.
Always maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Highschool diploma or GED Required
Degree in business administration, logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum of 1-year leading teams preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years working in warehouse or manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
This position is predominantly in an office environment but will occasionally require accessing the manufacturing shop floor. This may include interaction that may include engineering, production, and other office staff. Shop environment may be subject to ambient noise create by punching and machining equipment.
ScheduleThe AeroDef Customer Service Specialist schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM but should be flexible to the needs of the business and determine appropriate work schedule depending on varying workloads.
CompensationCompensation for this position will depend on experience and qualifications. Starting hourly rate ranges from $50,000 to
$60,000.
