ABOUT BOYS & GIRLS AID

Founded in 1885, we are focused on family permanency. Our mission is to make sure that every child in foster care grows up in a family. We teach and model healthy environments, invest in relationships, and work to cultivate the best opportunities for children. As we focus on building positive and long-lasting relationships, we strive to create a formidable foundation for the youth we serve. As a member of the Boys & Girls Aid team, you will have an opportunity to promote social justice for youth who are in foster care, are involved with juvenile justice, or are experiencing homelessness.

Each employee plays a direct role in adding value to those we serve. We understand that how we treat our employees reflects on their performance. We strive to show our staff how much they are valued through a culture of open communication, transparency, and honesty. In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer work-life balance

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INFANT ADOPTION PROGRAM MANAGER

As the Infant Adoption Services Program Manager, you will lead the operations of our Infant Adoption Services by planning and coordinating programs, setting and ensuring program goals and objectives, and maintaining compliance with licensing and contracts. You will be responsible for developing evaluation methods, determining program eligibility, and overseeing all budgetary functions, program revenue targets, and resources, while also monitoring quality assurance standards, ensuring appropriate clinical supervision and consultation.

In this role, you will provide supervision for the Infant Adoption team, including clinical oversight, performance monitoring, and identifying and addressing training needs. You will ensure clinical decisions are sound and systems are effective, with an emphasis on integrating diverse socio-economic, racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds into your guidance for staff.

You will oversee the management of program data and monitor client documentation to ensure alignment with Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS), and other licensing and accrediting requirements.

Additionally, you will prepare and monitor program budgets in consultation with the Sr. Director of Permanency and Adoption, assisting in managing the financial aspects of the program, including resolving billing issues with families and staff, and communicating caseload updates to the billing team. Collaboration is also crucial, as you will work with the Foster Care Adoption and Permanency Services Directors to plan and implement joint projects, and with the Advancement Team to ensure the implementation of outreach and promotion activities to attract birthparents into the program.

Your responsibilities will also include conducting regular Information Sessions for prospective adoptive families, providing after-hours supervisor on-call coverage when needed, and ensuring the implementation of required quality systems, including client feedback systems, file review systems, and program outcome reporting. Lastly, you will coordinate post-adoption services, offering guidance to staff working with members of the post-adoption triad, including voluntary registration, non-identifying information reports, assisted searches, and reunion services.
