The Role:

As Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring UniFide CST operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and policies (DOT being a large focus). In this role, you will develop, monitor, and document compliance activities around topics such as ISO certifications, third-party customer reporting, fleet management, calibration, and state technician licensing.


What A Day In The Life Looks Like:


Oversee Compliance Programs: Lead and monitor our compliance initiatives at all five business locations in Wisconsin and Iowa

  • Track and manage service fleet vehicle maintenance needs and recommend new equipment as needed
  • Ensure all DOT logs and inspection records are kept timely and accurately
  • File necessary paperwork for compliance with governing agencies or 3rd party customer agencies

Maintain Compliance Records: Ensure locations are up-to-date and in line with regulations

  • Monitor individual training requirements to ensure all technicians are current in applicable state and federal regulations
  • Ensure all state licensing and certifications are current for all locations and technicians
  • Communicate with governing agencies.

Track Key Performance Indicators: Stay on top of compliance reporting and KPI's

  • Develop compliance KPI’s regarding scale calibrations, DOT violations, and continuous improvement
  • Complete weekly/monthly reporting of compliance KPI’s
  • Provide reports to management on budgets, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress

Coordinate DOT Requirements: Manage/monitor DOT requirements and UniFide's fleet vehicle management program

  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis reporting on our fleet of vehicles and potential enhancements
  • Develop an asset management process from procurement to disposition
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws as it pertains to vehicle operations

What We Need From You:

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent form a two-year college or technical school
  • 3-5 years of compliance experience and/or training education/experience
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, multi-tasked work environment with a professional attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
