We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at APTIM. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and laws.
Job Overview:The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering or science, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in air permitting and compliance. You will be responsible for preparing reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations, assisting in the preparation of proposals, and conducting technical and regulatory analysis of emission sources.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop emission calculations for criteria pollutants, hazardous air pollutants, and greenhouse gases
- Gather technical data from clients and through independent research
- Determine NSPS, NESHAP, and NSR/PSD requirements for emission sources
- Assist in preparing compliance and permitting documents
- Collect and interpret scientific data
- Work with clients to evaluate proposed projects for anticipated impacts and define the type of environmental permits needed
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Science, Chemical Engineering, Meteorology, or Physics
- 7 years of experience in air permitting and compliance, with a strong knowledge of USEPA, NSPS, and NESHAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in performing mass flow, heat input, and emissions calculations
- Experience in landfill gas collection or similar environmental systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of USEPA NSPS and NESHAP and Pennsylvania's Rules and Regulations
- Experience in using various Pennsylvania DEP websites, such as Greenport, AES Online, RFD Online, etc.
