Job Summary:

 

The Service Advisor acts as a liaison between customers and our automotive service department. You will be responsible for accurately assessing customers' vehicle service needs, recommending appropriate services, and providing estimates for repairs or maintenance. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and repeat business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Customer Service:

   - Greet customers warmly, identify their service requirements, and actively listen to their concerns and questions.

   - Build trust and rapport with customers, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

   - Effectively communicate the status of their vehicle's service, including updates, recommended repairs, and estimated completion time.

 

2. Vehicle Assessment and Recommendations:

   - Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any existing or potential issues.

   - Provide clear and detailed explanations of required repairs, maintenance, and service options, tailored to customers' specific needs.

   - Offer accurate and transparent cost estimates for services and repairs, ensuring customer understanding and approval.

 

3. Service Coordination:

   - Schedule service appointments efficiently, considering technicians' availability and customers' preferences.

   - Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely completion of all repairs and maintenance tasks.

   - Maintain organized and up-to-date service records, including detailed notes on each customer interaction.

 

4. Upselling and Customer Education:

   - Suggest additional services and products that align with customers' vehicle needs, focusing on enhancing safety and performance.

   - Educate customers on the importance of regular maintenance and address any questions or concerns they may have.

 

5. Warranty and Payment Processing:

   - Assist customers with warranty claims and explain warranty coverage terms and conditions.

   - Accurately process invoices, handle payments, and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.

 

6. Customer Follow-Up:

   - Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customers' satisfaction with the services provided.

   - Address any additional concerns or issues that may arise post-service, aiming to resolve them promptly and professionally.

 

Requirements:

 

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in automotive technology is a plus.

- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry.

- Familiarity with Ford vehicles, their features, and common service requirements.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

- Proficiency in computer systems and software for scheduling, invoicing, and record-keeping.

- Customer-focused attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding service experiences.
