Accounting Coordinator

As an Accounting Coordinator within our Accounting Team. You will be part of a dedicated and helpful team with the common goal of providing accurate and timely financial information for the company decision-makers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone growing in the accounting field to get real-world experience in various areas of accounting, with the opportunity to take on additional challenges based on performance.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare general ledger entries and reconciliations for accrued expenses, prepaid, and other accounts as needed.
- Support financial audits by providing invoices and purchase orders as support and preparing schedules as needed.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash reconciliations for cash accounts, including creating journal entries and analyzing bank statements to tie to the general ledger.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including uploading Positive Pay to bank websites.
- General filing and other clerical tasks as needed.
The Experience You Bring
- 1-2 years of proven experience in office or professional settings, with a focus on accounting, demonstrating adeptness and competency in relevant responsibilities
- Restaurant / Hospitality group experience is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to take charge of the job role and responsibility stated above.
- Degree in Accounting or a combination of experience and education in accounting. We are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
- Proficiency and practical experience with Excel, including utilizing formulas and VLookups· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Restaurant 365 and other restaurant accounting and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask and be a team player.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated motivation to learn and inquire, coupled with a proactive approach to seeking clarity and understanding
- Capable of working independently, showcasing self-reliance and initiative in completing tasks effectively
