Position Description: Foundation Communities’ Health Coverage Program is hiring a team of HAAM Eligibility Specialists to work with local musicians who are members of the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). HAAM provides access to affordable healthcare for Central Austin musicians, and this seasonal position offers a wonderful opportunity to help musicians access healthcare.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and accurate intake and enrollment assistance to HAAM members by phone
  • Convey accurate knowledge about Marketplace health insurance and HAAM services (training provided)
  • Complete and accurate data entry
  • Protect confidential consumer information
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (including efficiently navigating between multiple programs/windows)
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced virtual environment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, team player
  • Ability to work well with a wide range of individuals

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with tax preparation, health insurance, or public assistance programs
  • Bilingual in Spanish


Compensation:
$19.00/hour

Remote Work Requirements
HAAM Eligibility Specialists will be expected to work remotely and will be provided necessary equipment to complete job functions (laptop, headset, extra monitor). Requirements to work remotely include:

  • A dedicated work space that is quiet and distraction free
  • Reliable and secure internet connection (no public Wi-Fi)
  • Secure storage for computer equipment and materials

Full-time and part-time hours are available, with options for weekday and Saturday hours (no evening hours). The position pays $19/hour. Some in-person training is required. The timeline for this position is October to December 2024, with a potential for extended (optional) work until January 15th. There is also a potential opportunity to transition to a part-time or full-time seasonal position on our tax team from January to April 2025 for those who are interested.
