Flexible Remote Work Setting: The Marketsmith Inc. office is open for jobs that require in-person support, but the team is predominantly working from home as we have fully transitioned to a work-from-anywhere model.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate self-starter that can leverage their knowledge of Marketsmith products and services to connect with prospective clients and customers. Ultimately accountability will be put on closed deals and net new client growth. This is a job for someone who is highly motivated, and target driven with a proven track record in agency sales.

  • Identify key prospects and establish contact via email, phone, etc., ultimately leading to sale/conversion.
  • Track all communications and opportunities through CRM (experience with Zoho a plus).
  • Develop and execute the company's lead generation strategy across all channels and industries, including retail and e-commerce for B2B and D2C business models.
  • Make cold calls and outreach to sales leads and prospective opportunities.
  • Aid in preparation of sales proposals and presentations.
  • Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and sales agreements with guidance from management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all Marketsmith departments in order to develop customized solutions for prospective clients.
  • Maintain contact lists and follow-up establishing strong customer relationships.
  • Achieve agreed upon lead generation and sales targets.
  • Provide management with weekly sales reports and progress updates.
  • Continuously improve pitch and relationships through feedback.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a sales representative within an agency setting (1-3 years).
  • Customer service skills and the ability to listen to business needs and identify solutions within the agency services and products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and establish relationships across a variety of people.
  • Strong network and established relationships with prospective client base.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Communication skills and ability to clearly convey solution benefits.
  • Living within NYC Metro Area a plus
