  • Lead and manage data migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation of data transfer from on-premises systems to AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document data requirements and business needs for migration
  • Develop data mapping and transformation strategies to ensure seamless data integration and consistency between legacy systems and cloud platforms.
  • Design and implement cloud-based data solutions on AWS, including configuring data storage, databases, and analytics services.
  • Create detailed documentation of data migration processes, mapping documents, and project reports. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and any issues encountered.
  • Identify and address data migration issues or discrepancies, providing solutions and recommendations to mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate current processes and systems to recommend improvements for future data migration projects and overall data management strategies.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst with a focus on data migration projects.
  • Proven experience in migrating data from on-premises systems to AWS cloud platforms, including familiarity with AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, and Glue.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and data transformation tools. Experience with AWS data migration tools like AWS DMS (Database Migration Service) is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing projects with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
