Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a Lead Business/Data Analyst Contractor with a strong background in SAP or SAC. This role involves gathering business requirements, conducting thorough analyses, documenting processes, modeling workflows, assessing impacts, prioritizing business needs, developing test scripts, and collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful execution of new SAP ERP implementations and third-party integrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address intricate business challenges through business process reengineering and cloud technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements, evaluate current processes, and design new workflows.
  • Work alongside the data engineering team and functional unit leaders to perform a gap analysis of capabilities and requirements against existing technology.
  • Utilize business process re-engineering methodologies to modernize systems.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and sustain effective planning models and reporting mechanisms to support GAF's business planning activities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on findings, recommendations, new operational models, and workflows in partnership with the business team.
  • Establish metrics to measure process performance against set benchmarks.
  • Manage multiple assignments, demonstrating the ability to work on 1-3 projects simultaneously.
  • Comprehend business needs and requests, identify solutions, gather information, and translate business requirements into clear documentation for both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Engage with business users to analyze processes and system challenges, transforming them into actionable system modifications that enhance operational efficiency and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with project teams and business partners throughout project planning, incremental software delivery reviews, and User Acceptance Testing to ensure software implementation aligns with specifications.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proficient in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies, including user story documentation, backlog management, and Sprint reviews.
  • Experience in modeling techniques such as process flows, use cases, swim lane diagrams, and mock-ups/wireframes.
  • Proven experience with SAP or SAC.
  • Background in Finance or FP&A is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Jira is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Information Security Awareness.
  • Understanding of ERP applications and their integrations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of IT experience, preferably in enterprise B2B durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing.
  • More than 10 years of experience in systems analysis, data analysis, and design with a proven track record of successful large-scale project implementations.
  • Certification as a Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar credential is a plus.
