Job Summary

Engineering Specialists will have expertise in various engineering and project management techniques and methods and will fulfill multiple roles throughout the lifespan of a project including drawing design and review, project oversight, and manufacturing support. The specialists will work with the Project Management, Engineering, Scheduling, and Fabrication departments to ensure our projects are delivered to our customers on time and designed to meet specification.

Reports To

The Engineering Specialist will report to the Engineering Specialist Supervisor.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review drawings to ensure alignment to specification and design and ensure drawings conform to the highest industry standards of quality.
  • Provide technical expertise for engineering support, project management, and fabrication.
  • Perform a variety of tasks to support our projects and ensure they are delivered to our customer on time and on budget.
  • Work with and contribute in a team environment of other specialists, support staff, and engineering.
  • Able to perform various engineering support tasks such as printing deliverables, reviewing wiring diagrams, and other office duties.
  • Cross trained in Quality Control
  • Understanding of the various tasks and requirements required of our projects and able to perform or assist these tasks
  • Maintain project schedule and milestones and update as needed
  • Troubleshoot basic fabrication related issues and able to resolve problems or elevate to Engineering or Project Management
  • Able to develop wiring mockups, cable schedules, and other basic drawings and deliverables


Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in Office programs and Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of CAD programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and hit deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work on a team or independently
  • Attention to detail is paramount
  • Technical degree is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for the regular operation of a computer
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly
  • Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Possible exposure to typical manufacturing production physical hazards
