We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Houston Engineering, Inc. in a role that combines technical expertise with effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement innovative solutions to address environmental issues associated with agricultural sustainability.
- Communicate complex scientific information to broad audiences through written documents, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement projects related to water quality and climate resilience.
- Analyze data and develop models to inform decision-making and policy development.
- Contribute to project management, pursue grant opportunities, and develop geospatial analysis techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (agriculture, bioproducts and biosystems, water resources, ecological engineering).
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated professional experience addressing environmental issues associated with agricultural sustainability.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with experience in transforming technical science into public-facing information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, computer models, databases, and GIS, with intimate knowledge of GIS in addressing scientific issues.
- Valid Driver's License and in good standing.
