Centrally located in Dallas at Spring Valley and Dallas North Tollway, we are searching for a mortgage warehouse assistant who is a talented, analytical, and customer-focused team player wanting stability and an excellent compensation and benefits package.

Our mortgage warehouse team is a group of dedicated professionals responsible for Warehouse Line Requests, such as viewing loan approval conditions, appraisals, investment commitments, closing & wiring instructions, processing payoffs, loan applications, and all other related documentation to ensure that each loan will close in accordance with all legal requirements, investor guidelines, and company guidelines, controls, processes, policies and procedures. Our mortgage warehouse assistants primarily assist client requests for service and resolution of issues professionally, accurately, and timely to optimize the client's experience. Mortgage warehouse assistants play an integral part in helping build and manage solid long-lasting relationships.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist clients with routine account-related matters including but not limited to duties associated to reviewing and funding loan advance requests received for warehouse loan customers, processing payoffs on warehouse lines, performing reconciliations of various accounts associated with warehouse lines, receiving, preparing, and shipping collateral documents to investors.
  • Enter routine data into the mortgage warehouse system (WLS).
  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries from customers.
  • Identify issues before they become problematic and offer innovative solutions that are in compliance with policies.
  • Escalate individual errors and workflow and client concerns as appropriate to maintain established quality standards and ensure proper resolution and minimize client deficiencies.
  • Tactfully handle inquiries/concerns, including those seen as confidential and sensitive in nature.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Excels in customer service and demonstrates a desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong working knowledge of mortgage warehouse and mortgage terminology.
  • Superior analytical & quantitative skills.
  • Effective listening skills, communication skills, and basic business writing skills with the ability to convey technical information in a way that is easy for others to understand.
  • Ability to identify potential for cross-sell opportunities.
  • Well-organized, exceptionally detail-oriented, and able to multi-task & meet deadlines with great follow-up skills.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel) to input and retrieve routine data using a series of computer screens.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree or equivalent professional experience in the banking or financial services industry a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of responsible work experience in a mortgage loan origination environment (i.e. processing, underwriting, closing and/or funding).
  • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines and Warehouse Lending System (WLS) a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT:

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; Hybrid; Occasional overtime

Some variation in work hours due to special projects and deadlines.
