We are currently seeking a Mortgage Operations Support Specialist who is analytical, detail-oriented, and dedicated to customer satisfaction. This role offers stability along with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

The Mortgage Operations team consists of skilled professionals who manage Warehouse Line Requests, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The primary responsibility of the Mortgage Operations Support Specialist is to assist clients with service requests and resolve issues efficiently, thereby enhancing the overall client experience. This position is vital in fostering and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with routine inquiries related to account management, including reviewing and processing loan advance requests for warehouse loan customers, handling payoffs, and reconciling various accounts.
  • Input routine data into the mortgage warehouse system (WLS) accurately.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and provide compliant, innovative solutions.
  • Escalate errors and client concerns as necessary to uphold quality standards and ensure proper resolution.
  • Handle sensitive inquiries with tact and confidentiality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage warehouse operations and terminology.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Effective communication and business writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Ability to recognize cross-sell opportunities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for data entry and retrieval.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a college degree or relevant experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a mortgage loan origination environment (processing, underwriting, closing, or funding).
  • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines and Warehouse Lending System (WLS) is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; Hybrid work model; occasional overtime may be required.
