CSafe is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at our World Headquarters, in Monroe, Ohio to join our world class global engineering team You will develop, drive, and implement lean manufacturing principles and processes, which will improve product quality and enhance manufacturing efficiency of our products and solutions. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Certification Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and reinforce culture that supports implementation and use of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Spearhead cross functional teams and to implement lean manufacturing and service process improvements.
  • Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of current lean manufacturing processes.
  • Set priorities, objectives, goals, measures and metrics for process improvement projects, ensuring that these are monitored and controlled.
  • Investigate root causes of product or part non-conformance and recommends/ implement changes in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Provide input to Design Engineer to ensure product designs are Designed For Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).
  • Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to ensure robust product design.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of manufacturing, maintenance and service instruction and validation for the Active Air Cargo Products and cell and Gene Products.
  • Develop and implement production aids and fixtures to support manufacturing processes and volume production consistency.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing support function.
  • Understand technical drawings, electrical and electronics schematics
  • Proven experience in implementing six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools in a manufacturing environment
  • Sound problem solving skills (i.e. Six Sigma, Taguchi, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of MRP and Microsoft Office software and particularly spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be able to set, maintain and manage project plans and schedules.
  • Must be thorough and exercise attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of Quality tools such as DFMA and FMEA.
  • Should be proficient in using a variety of hand tools for the development and adjustment of parts and assemblies during the prototyping process A willingness to quickly adjust priorities based on business needs.
  • Must possess analytical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to self-manage.
  • Must be a team player.
