We are seeking an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support in order to drive printing process and quality improvements, increase plant efficiencies, apply technology, support cost reduction initiatives, and implement standardization of processes across the Laminates and Films sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Troubleshoot process/product problems, and lead problem solving efforts to improve quality, eliminate waste, and reduce quality costs
• Develop scope and provide leadership for continuous improvement efforts in the Production area.
• Support project implementation by reviewing installation, coordinating start-up of installed systems, training operators, documenting changes and updating procedures through the SOP process.
• Proactively monitor new technology for process optimization opportunities.
• Responsible for tracking and reporting improvements through KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Gravure Print Technology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably utilizing rotogravure processes
- Strong knowledge film, paper, and commercial printing & decoration techniques [can include: flexo, offset, gravure, screen, etc.]
- Strong knowledge of basic office applications [Microsoft Office, Apple, etc.]
- Good communicator including strong listening skills. Proficiency in understanding and being understood by technical and non-technical stakeholders .
- Ability to make decisions and develop recommendations.

- Occasionally remains in a stationary position 10% of the time

- Constantly moves equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Constantly exposed or works around chemical processing and unregulated temperature conditions
- Occasionally produces memorandum and other long documents
- 10% travel
