POSITION SUMMARY

The People and Culture Coordinator is the department's liaison between employees. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and organized active and terminated employee documents and files, processing I-9 form verification for new hires and reverifying as needed, and assisting in creating and maintaining human resources forms, documents, reports, surveys, etc. The Coordinator ensures that all employees feel safe and cared for by addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating as necessary.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a liaison between the People and Culture department and employees.
  • Creates and maintains accurate and organized active and terminated employee documents and files.
  • Processes I-9 form verification for new hires and reverifies as needed.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of human resources forms, documents, reports, surveys, etc.
  • Serves as a reliable source of information for employees, answering basic employee questions about human resources policies, benefits, and company-related information.
  • Ensures that all employees feel safe and cared for by addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating as necessary.
  • Coordinates and schedules orientations, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Processes employee status changes or benefits enrollments; maintains records of completed transactions.
  • Inputs HR-related data and runs or creates standard reports for management review.
  • Supports manager with projects, communication campaigns, P&C initiative planning and roll-out, etc. as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma and at least two years supporting Human Resources in an administrative capacity.
  • Experience working with employee data and using an HRIS system to manage and gather information.
  • Understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree in HRM with at least one year of direct HR experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting, standing, speaking, hearing (in-person speech, telephone, remote speech), keyboarding, stooping, near visual acuity, far visual acuity, peripheral vision.
